Savannah: Irish Parade + An Old Fave

March 10, 2013July 28, 2015

We kicked off our day with lunch at Tybee Social Club – one of our favorite beach haunts – before heading over to a friend’s beach place for a pre-parade party.   The parade rolled promptly at three and it was smiles, beads and candy all around for the next hour!   Mother and Daddy-O… Read More

Savannah: Celebrating

March 9, 2013July 28, 2015

Thanks for all of the birthday love yesterday.  I had a fantastic and fun filled day!  We attended the annual Greening of the Fountain in Forsyth Park. And then played on the playground and had the great fortune to run into and catch up with twin B from high school! While Honey took the boys… Read More

Catherine Lovett’s Crab

September 18, 2012July 28, 2015

While at Tybee Social on our last trip down to Savannah, I came across a pair of paintings by Catherine Lovett that stopped me dead in my tracks… source …this photo hardly does them justice because what you can’t see is her signature use of gold leafing.  I mean, I was literally head over heels… Read More

Savannah: Farewell

August 5, 2012July 28, 2015

We spent our last morning in Savannah hanging out on the dock (and coercing the littles into a few sweet pictures.)  With school, tennis, baseball and GT football all just mere weeks away, I’m saddened to think it could be a couple of months before we make it back down South.  Many memories were made… Read More

Savannah: Beach Bound

August 5, 2012July 28, 2015

We spent the whole rain-free day soaking up the sun down at Tybee – the babies building countless sand castles and sand creatures while the PCP spent hours on his skim board (much of the time with two little ones on his heels.)      Just one more day in Savannah before heading home… xoxo… Read More

Savannah: Baby’s Big Day

August 4, 2012July 28, 2015

With the PCP off at Sea Camp, we decided to treat the babies (yes, I realize they are three years old) to a day out on the town.  Our first stop was the Build-a-Bear Workshop at Oglethorpe Mall! After a marathon session of deciding on which creatures we’d bring to life, the boys loved operating… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
