Now I know I’ve expressed my lack of football prowess, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to pull together a cute game day snack.
We love to spoil our teachers with little treats throughout the year, so the littles helped me make these in the colors of their teachers’ favorite teams! Kentucky for the PCP’s current teacher, Alabama for his beloved first grade teacher, GT for us (of course), and the Saints for the baby’s teacher (somehow I failed to get a picture of it?!?! Maybe it was the monkey trying to down the pretzels as soon as he saw I was preoccupied.) John asked for the Falcons (gotta represent) and, as much as it pained me, I made one for the Dawgs (THWG!).
You’ll find a page with four tags for each of these TWENTY-FIVE teams:
- Georgia Tech
- University of Georgia (THWG)
- Auburn
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Texas A&M
- University of Kentucky
- University of South Carolina
- University of Florida
- Florida State
- Mississippi State
- Notre Dame
- University of Louisville
- Appalachian State
- University of North Carolina
- Louisiana State University
- Rice
- Texas Christian University
- Ole Miss
- University of Arkansas
- University of Miami
- Syracuse University
- Tennessee
- Atlanta Falcons
- New Orleans Saints
The salty sweet pretzel treats are SO easy to make! Here’s how:
1. Line a pan with foil and spread butter snaps (square pretzels) in a single layer.
2. Unwrap a hershey kiss and place one in the center of each pretzel.
3. Bake in the oven at 170 for about 8 minutes. Start checking after 5 minutes as you want them to be easy to push down with an m&m, but not running all over the pan.
4. Remove from oven and press a m&m down in the center of each kiss. Put in the fridge to let harden back up.
NOTE: Bestie S had the stellar idea of making these using the football shaped pretzels and has reported that they can be found at Wal Mart and World Market!!!
I found all of the colors I needed in a regular bag of m&m’s, with the exception of white that I had left over from another project. I did these with candy corn a couple of years back and they were super cute too!
Kickoff the celebration, y’all!
xoxo
DIXIE DELIGHTS DELIVERED
You've probably done this before, but just in case I'm going to share anyway! Have you used a Rolo and a pecan? Yum!
Very cute! How about the Florida Gators?!
Love these! Go Dawgs!

I must find these football pretzels you speak of!!
We make the same pretzel treats along with pumpkin muffins for our teachers' fall conference goodie baskets. Such a great snack!
Cute…! This home will be watching Texas A&M against Alabama tomorrow…my Aggie would love to see a repeat of last year!
Sure wish one of their teachers liked the Auburn Tigers!! These would be perfect to take to our tailgate on the Plains tomorrow! Those are simply adorable!
Such a cute idea! We love making the pretzel bites during the holidays.
You made UGA ones?!?! Blasphemous!!! ;)
It was painful.
They are great! We are HUGE UK (GO CATS) football and basketball fans (native Kentuckians) and my ten year old son saw these and wants to make these for his birthday treat at school! Great idea!! Go CATS! Thank you!
Thank you so much for making some tags for my Bulldogs! It mustn't have been easy for you ;)))

How fun and creative is this. Love it. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
Just got home from a 10 day trip out of town and trying to catch up on blogs. These treat tags are sooo cute! Any suggestions as to how to make one for Notre Dame? Thanks, Diana [email protected]
This is so cute! Is it possible to get one for Baylor?
Thank you
I can't even tell you how sad it makes me that Tennessee is so bad at football now we aren't included in things like this.
I assure you it has nothing to do with skill. I just did the teams that readers asked for! I wouldn't know the best team from the worst!
That might make me feel a tiny bit better. :)
Okay okay… You guilted me into adding it. :-)
These are adorable! What software are you using to create with? My husband went to Appalachian, but I might be able to edit one of yours if it is similar software to mine
I am totally gonna make these for my niece's class this week to celebrate their first family fair !! thanks for the instructions !!

You wouldn’t happen to have Virginia Tech would you? Go Hokies!
Baylor and Green Bay? I would love to make these treats and treat bags.
