Boys Bathroom {Vanity & Fixtures}

My contractor originally quoted me a built in vanity for the boys in the same materials we were using in the master.  I ultimately decided to save a little money in their space and look for something already manufactured.  He suggested build.com and I got to work!  I should also note that he did review all of my faucet and shower fixtures and gave them the seal of approval before placing the order.

Vanity

Y’all know I have an affinity for this x-trim style, as evidenced on my porch and exterior railings.  I was drawn to this Miseno MV-TOR36-G Gray Torneo 36″ Free Standing Vanity from the beginning.  I did do my due diligence and shop all over Savannah with Mother to look for something else I loved, but it was all in vain.  At the end of the day I kept coming back to this!

I think having it off of the floor will help the room look more spacious and I, of course, love the marble top (hoping the boys can keep it nice!) and rectangular sink.  The small top drawer pops open to reveal space for toothbrushes and toothpaste, or a comb.  I am almost certain I will replace the two cabinet knobs.

Faucet

The difficult thing about that vanity was finding a single hole faucet that I like.   I decided to to chrome in this bathroom since I am reusing the existing light fixture and wall fixtures and they are all chrome.  I actually found the shower fixture first and then went to see if there was a sink faucet in the line that I would like.  Let’s be clear… I like this and think it will be just fine.  I’m not head over heels in love with it.

Shower Fixture

I do, however, really like this shower fixture for the boys.  It is masculine and current with clean lines, and I knew it was the perfect choice for their bathroom.

  1. OHHHH I LOVE that vanity cabinet. We redid ours back in 2008 with a premade oak vanity from Lowe’s for our hall bath/Andrew’s bathroom … and while it works just fine, I’m “meh” with it… especially now that everything in our house is trimmed white instead of brown like before.

    Also, smart move with marble countertops… we have a granite top in Andrew’s, and i HATE it. You know how boys are- they leave wet cups, toothbrushes, etc. on there and we have really high calcium content in our water here so of course, it leaves calcium scale on the edges of the faucet because it interacts with the granite. When we get back to redo that bathroom again, the first step is to get countertops out of recycled glass or something because i loathe granite… and probably a white or gray or lighter vanity cabinet with a top drawer like this one.

    Can’t wait to see how your bathroom projects come out! Are you doing any DIY’s?
