We celebrated Mother and CeeCee’s January birthdays this weekend with a family dinner. We’re all over winter by this 497th day of January so I set the table in pink and white!
The two younger boys opted to have a “private table” in the kitchen, so there was no need to haul out the extra table leaf and chairs. I set a formal table, because I wanted things to be pretty for the birthday girls, but the air of the meal itself was casual.
I used an urn from my china as a vase and picked up the blooms from Trader Joes.
You an see my tips and tricks for DIY flower arrangements in this post:
My china is Lenox Butler’s Pantry, crystal is Waterford Lismore Tall and silver is Gorham Strasbourg. The pink linens were from Crate & Barrel years ago on our wedding registry!
I originally purchased and personalized the place cards for last Easter, but am using them again! I keep them in my sideboard. They are by Hester & Cook. You can see the Easter table and details here:
It was a lovely dinner celebrating my two favorite January girls!

What a lovely tablescape for the two birthday girls in your family! I think pink was the perfect color choice and can go well into February for Valentines. Hope they both had a day filled with happiness and great memories.
Thank you! I think they had a great time <3
Happy Birthday, Marme and CeeCee!
What a lovely way to celebrate! xo
What a beautiful birthday dinner. I love all the pinks and white and lovely floral place marker. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful birthday dinner!! Love reading your blog; if I may ask, where did you get your beautiful frames with your boys portrait in them, the ones in your dining room.
I bought them years ago! I can’t even remember where they were from. I’m sorry!
