Kitchen Update 2.0 {Dining Room Wallpaper & Curtains}

The dining room is almost at the finish line and I truly couldn’t be happier with the transformation. The wallpaper and curtains are both Bird And Thistle, Beige by Brunschwig Fils.

After searching high and low for a spot for my bridal portrait, this was the only place it would fit in the entire house. I moved the mirror that was previously here to the den, replacing one I revived with chalk paint 15 years ago.

I moved the mirror that was previously in the kitchen here, and the sconces that were in the living room to either side. I really want the wallpaper to shine here!

Sister says it is time to retire the high chair, but I never will. :-) You can see the chip overflow basket here too. I didn’t realize that is where it had landed.

Here’s what’s left in the kitchen:

  • Wallpaper walls – have to wait until late April for the paint to cure
  • Buffet type table to fill this space a little more
  • Art
  • Door for fridge

And in the dining room:

  • Monogram chair backs – my upholsterer still has a couple of the chair seat covers; once I have them all I’ll get them monogrammed

Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land is the newest eatery in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is the cutest and yummiest addition to Disney dining in ages! Sunday Supper {Salad with Buttermilk Ranch Dressing & Chicken Spaghetti}

I’ve had these two recipes dogeared in my Magnolia Table cookbook for ages. When I was making our grocery list and menu plan for the week I felt inspired to try something new and hearty. Both of these were huge hits, particularly the chicken spaghetti. It was tasty and serves a crowd, which I always… Read More

CeeCee in Cinderella Ballet

Our little ballerina took the stage once again in her dance company’s production of Cinderella. As always, it was a gorgeous performance with the most talented ballerinas and production crew. Afterwards, we enjoyed a celebratory dinner at her favorite restaurant. (Which also happens to be mine. “Besties for the resties” as we say.) Already counting… Read More
