Some news is simply too exciting not to share. Our precious CeeCee auditioned for The Nutcracker this weekend and she’s done it… she’s landed her dream role as Clara!
I honestly don’t know that any role could be more fitting for her. Clara is curious, joyful, kind and full of wonder, all qualities that describe CeeCee so perfectly.
Watching her pursue dance over the years has been such a joy. She works incredibly hard, yet somehow manages to hold onto the spark that made her fall in love with performing in the first place. That combination of dedication and genuine joy is something really special.

As thrilled as I am for her, this announcement also stirred up so many memories for me. Dance was such a huge part of my childhood, my teenage years and even my young adult life. The Nutcracker will always hold a special place in my heart, and Clara was my dream role, too. Seeing CeeCee step into this beloved character three decades later feels like the sweetest full-circle moment.
Y’all know I love that little girl like she’s one of my own. Watching her chase this dream, work so hard and earn this role brings me more joy than I can put into words. I truly couldn’t be happier for her or more proud.
I also know firsthand what audiences don’t see. They see the magic on stage, but they don’t see the months of rehearsals, aching feet, costume fittings, quick changes and countless hours of preparation that make those magical performances possible. CeeCee has earned every bit of this opportunity.
I already know there will be a flood of tears the first time she walks onto that stage carrying the Nutcracker. Honestly, I’m getting weepy just thinking about it.
Congratulations to our precious ange, my little bestie and the cherry on top of our family. We love you beyond words, and we’ll be cheering for you every step of the way. Christmas truly can’t come soon enough.
