Around Atlanta {Rreal Tacos in Buckhead}

Honey and I recently found ourselves in Buckhead around dinnertime and decided to pop into Rreal Tacos for a spontaneous supper. The restaurant specializes in authentic Mexican street food inspired by different regions of Mexico, with a menu full of tacos, quesadillas, burritos and handcrafted margaritas.

The first thing we noticed was the atmosphere. It has a fun, energetic vibe that would make it a great spot for happy hour or a casual dinner with friends. The restaurant was buzzing, the décor was lively and the margaritas fit right in with the festive atmosphere.

Speaking of margaritas… we thoroughly enjoyed ours.

The food was fresh, flavorful and exactly what we were hoping for. Nothing overly fussy, just solid Mexican fare in a fun setting.

Would I go back? Maybe.

Here’s the thing about Buckhead… it’s absolutely packed with incredible restaurants. There are so many longtime favorites and new places I’m still hoping to try that I don’t know I’d be in a hurry to return. That’s not a knock on Rreal Tacos at all. We genuinely enjoyed our meal. It’s simply a reflection of just how many wonderful dining options Atlanta has to offer.

If you’re looking for a lively atmosphere, good tacos and a handcrafted margarita, I think you’ll enjoy Rreal Tacos. That said, if you ask me where I’m heading for tacos in Atlanta, my longtime favorites are still bartaco and Taqueria del Sol. They’ve set a pretty high bar over the years, and I always find myself going back.

After our whirlwind Friday, we intentionally slowed things down on Saturday and enjoyed a leisurely morning before heading out for our first event of the day: an early lunch at Carbone. NYC Travel Diaries {Day 2: Sister Shopping Day}

I was up at the crack of dawn for coffee and a little quiet time before our big Sister shopping day! My first event of the day was walking CeeCee to the American Ballet Theatre studios for her summer intensive classes. After dropping her off, my sister and I headed to Tompkins Square Bagels for… Read More

NYC Travel Diaries {Day 1: Back in the Big Apple}

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve visited New York City over the years, but I think this trip made number seven. Every visit has been memorable for a different reason. Some have been girls’ trips, others have centered around Broadway, Christmas or simply enjoying one of my favorite cities. This trip was all… Read More
