Hello, May

I’ve so enjoyed watching spring gently unfold in our yard and around the neighborhood. On this first day of May, I snapped a few photos of the door décor we’ve been enjoying since April… and will likely keep up through the rest of the month.

The monogrammed crest and matching ribbon are from TomTom & Co., and I attached both to a simple wreath from Michael’s.

We’ve refreshed all of the mulch and pine straw in the beds, and everything is finally starting to green up. We haven’t had a long stretch of hot days just yet, but I know it’s coming.

One of my ferns is growing at a much faster rate than the other, which is making me just a little crazy… but I’m trying to let it go.

Over at the side door, I’m using the TomTom hydrangea. It’s quite wide, so definitely measure your door before ordering. It just barely fits here, and this door is slightly smaller than our front door. I’ve also planted all of my pots for the season and am so happy with how they turned out.

As for the weekend… it’s a big one. John is almost home and we have Whit’s prom tonight. We’re settling into May in the very best way.

Tucked into the France pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase, it’s a casual, easy sit-down spot that delivers every time. It’s not overly themed or elaborate, and I actually think that’s part… Read More

Celebrating the Class of 2027 {College Tours: Stop One, Rocky Top}

We officially kicked off college visits with Whit, and our first stop was University of Tennessee. At the time, about five months ago, he was leaning toward electrical engineering, specifically power systems, so Tennessee felt like a natural place to start. It also checked a few other important boxes… a large university in the South… Read More
