With the grands at home with parents (they ordered movies and played card games!), we were free to head out to the Sippin Santa popup tiki bar in the Alida hotel downtown. It was absolutely adorable and we had a fantastic outing. I’d add this to your must-do list for any Christmas visit to the lowcountry!
Current Kitchen
We wavered back and forth between us about eating downtown somewhere new or heading to an old favorite. In the end Current Kitchen won out… again! It’s just SO good. Current is located on the cluster of barrier islands between Savannah and Tybee. The ambiance is wonderful, and the food is delicious and well priced. Our collective favorites are the shrimp risotto, snapper risotto, sushi and spicy salmon. Tonight, Sister and I both had the filet (special) with a side of risotto and a little cup of the sauce. It was divine!
It was a very merry evening!
