On My Bedside {Throne of Glass Series}

July 8, 2025July 8, 2025

I recently wrapped up the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best series I’ve read. This is s strong statement… maybe the best since Harry Potter. I devoured book after book over the course of the spring and summer, and found myself missing the… Read More

On My Bedside {The Personal Librarian}

June 12, 2025June 12, 2025

I’ve had a feeling I’d love being part of a book club for years… and I finally joined my neighborhood’s monthly gathering! This year has been all about trying new things, and book club fits right into that theme. The ladies were so warm and welcoming and I immediately felt right at home. I truly… Read More

On My Bedside {The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry}

April 3, 2025April 3, 2025

Mother passed The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin on to me when she finished it during our cruise last month. It’s a sweet and endearing story that I very much enjoyed reading. The characters were charming and I found myself not wanting the book to end. I also just love any story… Read More

On My Bedside {Hidden Pictures}

January 30, 2025January 30, 2025

With a slow start to the New Year and so many snow days (and no snow days), getting my first book of 2025 under my belt was no problem at all. I chose Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak. This one had me hooked from the start. It was engaging, just the right amount of spooky… Read More

On My Bedside {We Used to Live Here}

November 15, 2024November 11, 2024

Every October I try to read something spooky before Halloween. This year it was We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer. While I am not a Reddit user, this book had incredible momentum coming off of that platform and other social media accounts. It was an intriguing read for me – I translated the… Read More

On My Bedside {Outlander Series: Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone}

October 24, 2024October 24, 2024

After a decade hiatus and a two years of sitting on my bedside, I finally completed Go Tell the Bees That I am Gone, the 9th book in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series. It was wonderful and immersive and like reuniting with old friends. If you haven’t read this series, I urge you to do so.… Read More

On My Bedside {A Court of Thorns and Roses Series}

September 26, 2024September 19, 2024

I spent a chunk of my summer completely immersed in A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. I loved them so much that I couldn’t even wait on my turn to come up at the library every time I was ready for the next. This was the rare series I purchased outright.… Read More

One of my favorite Christmas gifts finally made it One of my favorite Christmas gifts finally made its debut. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 I’ve been waiting months to hang this beautiful 250th anniversary flag, and it was worth every bit of the wait.

Today on Dixie Delights, I’m kicking off my patriotic home tour and sharing all the details from this room.

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
