Deck the Halls 2012

There’s nothing like greenery, glitter, bows and twinkling lights when it comes to making this gal happy!  I am beyond thrilled to have the halls decked and to have positively nothing on the to-do list for the rest of this glorious long weekend!!  So, without further ado, y’all come on in!

Whew!  Anyone left out there??  It really went up pretty easily since I’ve figured out what goes where over the last few years we’ve been in this house.  I think I’ll try to pull together a piece specifically on the porch since that’s the only new stuff around these parts this year.  In the mean time, happy holidays from our home to yours…

  1. Do you have elves? You must have elves… or staff… or at least a bunch of very helpful gnomes!
Your home is gorgeous and even more beautiful decked out for Christmas!!!! Every inch is dripping with Christmas spirit!!!
If you have elves, can you send them my way? Thanks!

  2. Your house looks like a movie set. It, and the Christmas decorations, couldn't be more perfect.

  3. wow amanda..what can i say?! this is simply gorgeous..truly magazine worthy! i have ab-so-lutely no idea what i'm going to do this year. i have lots of reds and greens but i've been wanting to get away from that and do more neutral tones but i see how you've incorporated red/green into your home so beautifully.

your porch is my all-time favorite…i think i'd spend most of my time out there (whether permitting of course)!

thanks for sharing your home with us…maybe i'll get off my hiney and get mine done soon.

  4. Gorgeous as always! You must feel great having it all done. Normally, today is the day I start decorating but after cleaning up from Thanksgiving, the only thing I had time to do was take down the fall stuff. I'm so behind!

  5. I’m really glad I have found this information. Nowadays bloggers publish just about gossips and web and this is really frustrating. A good blog with exciting content, that is what I need. Thank you for keeping this site, I will be visiting it.

  6. So much time, effort, and LOVE! Very beautiful! I would like to invite you over to our Christmas party/Giveaway…it's going on now :)http://www.redheadcandecorate.com/4/post/2012/11/christmas-link-partygiveaway.html

    Merry Christmas!

  7. Everything is so beautiful! You are always such an inspiration.

Any advice on how you hang your outside wreaths? We used to hang ours with ribbon and then use fishing line to anchor them but it seemed like they would always blow around … and they were a little annoying windy nights! We just stopped doing it!

  8. It's all beautiful Amanda. And I am a teensy bit jealous that you are finished when I have 5 trees with nary an ornament on them yet! Maybe this year the natural look?
Anyway, congrats on a job well done. Now sit back and enjoy!

  9. Hi Betsy, We use action hooks (a brand of suction cups sister introduced me to). We have one fall down here or there but for the most part they stay put for the season. I guess since they are suction cupped on there isn't much room for them to blow around because I don't notice it at night and I'm a horribly light sleeper :-) xo

  10. I had to pin this! I love your home; beautifully done! So festive, yet not overly done! I can't wait to have a home like this some day…but with three little ones; we can only have not breakable items!! Happy Holidays!

  11. Are those saucers around your foyer mirror? They are gorgeous! I thought they were oyster plates all this time. I need a tablet. This phone is too small to see pretty details! :-)

  12. Hi Donna – yes they are saucers! We had an issue with our wedding china (butler's pantry by lenox) so they sent us an entire new set about a year later. Most of the plates on my walls are from the original set (they had issues with crazing)! xo

  13. WOW! You could knock me over with a feather right now. I think I need to look at your photos 5 or 10 more times to take it all in. Absolutely beautiful!! I can't believe you're all done already. You did a fabulous job!! Thanks for all the eye candy.

  14. What a stunning Christmas home tour! It belongs on a Christmas tour! I love it all … the lush garlands … the accent wreaths … the mix of a bit of coastal. Wow, thanks for sharing!

  15. I'm SWOONING over this, GASP!!! its gorgeous! (I'm basically just obsessed with your home, the Christmas decor just puts the cherry on top haha) I've tweeted this to my followers as well so we can all drool! Love it!

  16. Love the blue crab over your bed – so fun! Your home looks beautiful. Popping by from the Nester's party to wish you a very Merry Christmas!
