From the Archives {Ikea Makeovers}

I have a lot of projects, thoughts, ideas and musings in my archives.  As in a staggering amount when I look back on all the years of Dixie Delights.  So… I thought I’d take some time every now and then to look back on some favorites you might have missed.  After all, the first couple of years of my blogging life had about 3 readers, including Mother, Sister and Daddy-O.

So, while Ikea isn’t always my taste right off the shelf, just tweaking or adding to the pieces make them perfect!!  And, the price is always right at Ikea!

  1. Another thing IKEA does Ellis curtain panels…

    They have creamy white linen panels that are long and really pretty. Many interior designers recommend them. I double them so they look super full.

    I also like IKEA’s velvet curtain panels, but I cut off or fold under the grommets.

    Some of their curtains in the past have even been fully lined…I got a gorgeous fully lined pair for my daughter’s room for $10 a pair on clearance.

    Any of their curtains can be jazzed up with trims, etc. Just ignore any of the ones with tab tops.

    I don’t think any of these compare to the curtains you and your mom sew, Amanda, but they are a great choice on a budget or for those lacking the time or skill to sew custom panels.

    Happy shopping!
