Getting there was a breeze! We took a quick, direct flight from Atlanta to Santo Domingo. John’s bestie “ubered” us to the airport, and just like I do for clients, I pre-arranged private airport transfers. Never underestimate how a flawless arrival can set the tone for the days ahead.

From the moment we stepped into the stunning wood drenched lobby, we were immersed in elegance and surrounded by friendly smiles. After a celebratory champagne toast, we (and our mountain of luggage, including two sets of golf clubs!) were whisked off to our rooms.

Our adjoining rooms, a king and a double queen, were spacious, modern, and wrapped in tropical tranquility. We had walk-in closets, spacious showers, plush bedding, a chic entry foyer with a beverage station, and a dreamy terrace overlooking the golf course.

After settling in, we loaded up in our golf carts and headed to Minitas Beach Club for cocktails on the beach and a little exploring.
Moving over to the restaurant for dinner, we reveled in front-row views of the Caribbean Sea. Surrounded by lush landscaping and a cool ocean breeze, it was the perfect kickoff to our trip. As the sun dipped into the horizon and the table filled with fresh island flavors, Honey smiled and said, “this is exactly how I wanted to celebrate.”
