La Cana Breakfast
Our morning began with a healthy and hearty included breakfast at La Caña Bar & Restaurant. Named for the sugar cane crops that have shaped La Romana’s history since the 1900s, La Caña elevates local ingredients with French-inspired flair. Overlooking the sparkling pool and lush resort grounds, it was the perfect place to ease into the day with copious quantities of cappuccinos.
Minitas Beach
We spent the entire day at Minitas Beach, soaking in the rays, sipping cocktails, and dipping in the calm Caribbean Sea. This exclusive stretch of beach is impeccably maintained, with plush white loungers, attentive chair service, soft sand, and those signature turquoise waters. We read, we talked, we swam and we remained completely content in our own little paradise .
Lunch was casual and convenient thanks to the food trucks stationed nearby, and afterward, it was right back to our loungers for more sun and sea. Later in the afternoon, we detoured to the adult pool… an ultra-chic spot we’d been eyeing since our arrival. With vibey music, panoramic views, and total tranquility, it was the perfect way to wrap up our day in the sun.
Marina & La Casita Dinner
After a quick refresh back at our room, we hopped in the golf carts and headed to the Marina to explore before dinner. Inspired by the charming seaside villages of the Mediterranean, this vibrant hub caters to everyone from yachting enthusiasts to land-loving foodies.
Dinner at La Casita was magical. Set right on the water, this Spanish-Caribbean fusion spot celebrates the bounty of the sea with fresh, local seafood and bold, flavorful dishes. We dined al fresco, savoring every bite while watching the yachts glide by and the sun dip below the horizon.
It was another picture perfect day! These are the moments that remind me why I love crafting travel for families and milestone moments.
