Champagne Strawberries

I made the easiest treat for New Years Eve and know it will be one I do time and again! I’ve already made myself a note to make a few for Valentine’s Day. They are even easier than chocolate dipped.

In a large bowl, I soaked fresh, clean strawberries overnight in champagne. I bought the cheapest bottle at Publix and it was less than $8. Just before we left for our friend’s house, I pulled them out with a slotted spoon and dried. Then, I dipped each one in sugar. I strained the champagne through cheesecloth (to take out the tiny seeds) and took with with me to the party – it was pink and yummy!

The plate and attachment are from Happy Everything. I’ll be bringing out my little bits of Valentine’s decor over the weekend. Time flies!
