Summer Travel Diaries {Day 7: Until Next Time, Casa de Campo}

Our final morning at Casa de Campo arrived far too soon, but we were determined to make the most of it. The resort’s peaceful beauty, salt air, ocean breezes and – of course – memories of our time here made it hard to say goodbye.

Add in a 370-slip Marina & Yacht Club, a premier polo and equestrian center, a 245-acre shooting club, and a variety of luxurious experiences, and you’ll understand why this is a dream destination for discerning travelers.

When booking Casa de Campo Resort with me, you will enjoy:

  • Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability
  • Daily Buffet breakfast for up to two guests per bedroom
  • $200 USD equivalent Spa or Golf credit to be utilized during stay
  • Bookings in Premier Club and Villas receive an additional $100 credit (for a total of $300 during stay)

We began the day with breakfast at La Caña, savoring one last round of cappuccinos and local favorites while overlooking the sparkling pool and lush gardens. Afterward, we hopped in the golf carts for a slow, scenic ride around the resort.

As we packed up and made our way home, we found ourselves reflecting on a truly special trip. From breathtaking sunsets over Altos de Chavón, to unforgettable rounds of golf on Dye Fore and The Links, to blissful afternoons at Minitas Beach and poolside cabanas, every day was perfection. We reveled in delicious meals, the sumptuous spa and our deep-sea fishing adventure. With John in college and Whit driving, it’s not as easy as it always has been for us to find time for only each other.

Until next time, Casa de Campo…
