Two More Skirted Tables

October 11, 2012July 28, 2015

I’m still chipping away at the baby’s big boy room!  I started with two mismatched size tables that I liked for their height and similar sizes.  Unfortunately, that’s where the like ended.  The white table was picked up at an antique store (though it was more “junk” than “antique”) and the demilune was in my… Read More

Come Inside…If You Dare 2012

October 3, 2012July 28, 2015

*bwahahahaha* I’m going to go ahead and warn y’all that if you dared to “come inside” last year you’re going to be seeing much of the same spooky decor.  It’s kind of the perfect example of leaving well enough alone! I made the wreath with strips of black tulle last year and added a darling… Read More

Southern Living 2012 Idea House

September 17, 2012July 28, 2015

After mass, Honey took the boys and I spent the day with Sister, Mother and Daddy-O down in Senoia at the 2012 Southern Living Idea House.  We’d all already poured over pictures on blogs and in the magazine but it was well worth the hour trip to see it in person and kick around the… Read More

First Day of First Grade

August 13, 2012July 30, 2015

Well, he’s all settled in to his new class and I feel like I left a little piece of my heart at the school up the street.  *sigh* He woke up around four in the morning and crawled into bed right between us.  I couldn’t really sleep after that – just snuggling my sweet first… Read More

Southern Porch Reveal {Before & After}

August 6, 2012July 28, 2015

Our fantastic contractor finished up our porch just in the nick of time for our annual Fourth of July soiree and since were were out of town so much afterwards, I have finally had the time to take down the red, white and blue and feather the space with it’s more permanent look! If you… Read More

Rosemary Beach: Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House

July 25, 2012July 28, 2015

Y’all, you seriously cannot imagine how thrilled Sister, Mother and I were to learn that our annual visit to Rosemary Beach would coincide with the 2012 Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House!!  It was absolutely stunning – and quite sizeable for Rosemary seeing as it covers almost an entire block.  We took loads of pictures on… Read More

Rosemary Beach: Toes in the Water

July 25, 2012July 28, 2015

We finally managed to tear ourselves away from the cool, clear water of the Cabana pool to spend a day with our toes in the Gulf.  The littlest ones loved digging in the sand and playing in the surf while John spent hours on end with the skim board. When the first thunderstorm of the… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
