January Welcome & Boxwood Topiaries

January 29, 2026January 28, 2026

January always feels a little funny when it comes to the front door. There are really only a couple of weeks where I need something between Christmas and Valentine’s Day, so I tend to keep it simple. This year I went back to an old favorite, my neutral wooden cross. It feels calm, classic, and… Read More

Delightful Home {The Foyer}

January 21, 2026January 21, 2026

Here we are. Writing a foyer post in 2026 when my last truly detailed update was in 2018. Gulp. If you figure out where the time goes, please let me know. Looking back through photos recently, I stumbled upon a picture of our foyer on move-in day in 2009. I had nearly forgotten what it… Read More

A Shining Shimmering Splendid New Years Table

January 7, 2026January 7, 2026

Here’s a peek at my New Year’s table in the dining room. Once again, the disco balls made an appearance. They were the centerpiece of our New Year feast table and reflect joy all around the room all day long! Since we sat down to dinner after dark, I wanted to share a few photos… Read More

Hello, 2026!

January 6, 2026January 4, 2026

With both boys having plans on the evening of January 1, we did something we’ve never done before in twenty-three years: we postponed our annual New Year’s Day feast. And so, for today’s normal installment of Sunday Supper here on the blog, I’m going to recap our evening and share the recipes. I won’t lie.… Read More

Celebrating Christmas 2025 {Snippets of Mother’s Christmas Home}

December 28, 2025December 29, 2025

I tend to get swept up in family and fun the moment we get to Mother and Daddy-O’s and don’t do the best job of sharing her beautiful and thoughtful Christmas decor. I tried to be more intentional this year and grab a few rooms I don’t usually think to share. Here are just a… Read More

Classic Christmas 2025 {Teen Boy Bedrooms}

December 23, 2025December 23, 2025

I’m back today with a peek inside my boys’ bedrooms, all dressed up for Christmas once again. Watching these spaces evolve over the years has been such a joy. They still feel festive and nostalgic, just a little more grown up with each passing season. Teen Boy Bedroom Classic Christmas Decor John’s room continues to… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
