Easter Bunny Basket Decor

April 2, 2020April 2, 2020

I’ve added a few Easter touches here and there over the last couple of weeks. We’ve been isolating at home and I’ve shopped things I already had to decorate for Easter. I love how this one turned out! I used John’s basket and filled it with paper shreds I had saved from a package I… Read More

Easter Welcome

March 31, 2020April 1, 2020

In previous years, I feel like Spring just sprung. This year, I witnessed tiny buds unfold to leaves and flowers and everything is green and hopeful. I was eager to put my Easter decor out just as soon as St. Patrick’s day was over. I’m using my Have Mercy cross attached it to a boxwood wreath (from… Read More

Today for Lent

February 26, 2020February 27, 2020

The Lenten season is here! I feel like a real Catholic, having lived it up during Mardi Gras last week. :-) My family is now on year seven of using our “Today for Lent” cards.  Each one has a prayer, act of kindness or a simple sacrifice and it has proven to be a wonderful,… Read More

Easter {Beer} Hunt for Men

April 22, 2019April 21, 2019

I mentioned the other day that Sister and I did some serious brainstorming around making our 2019 Easter Egg hunt fun for the kids – ranging in age from six to thirteen. In doing so, we decided to also surprise the men in the family with their very own hunt. For beer. Hahaha!! Here’s how… Read More

Happy Easter!

April 21, 2019April 21, 2019

Happy, happy Easter to you and yours! We started this glorious day at mass, with family and friends and classmates and team members. While we enjoyed celebrating Easter at some amazing churches on the road the last two years, there is nothing more special than doing so with your own village. Over all the earth… Read More

April 20, 2019April 21, 2019

After having missed out on Easter egg hunts the last two years (we were traveling on Spring Break), both of my boys asked if we could do one. With the four cousins ranging in age from six to thirteen, Sister and I put our heads together to plan an Easter Egg Hunt that would be… Read More

One of my favorite Christmas gifts finally made it One of my favorite Christmas gifts finally made its debut. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 I’ve been waiting months to hang this beautiful 250th anniversary flag, and it was worth every bit of the wait.

Today on Dixie Delights, I’m kicking off my patriotic home tour and sharing all the details from this room.

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
