Pumpkin Teeth {Free Printable}

October 26, 2011August 1, 2015

The baby had his Halloween fete at school yesterday and, over the course of a few Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episodes and one gazillion trips to the potty, we whipped up these cute little bags of Pumpkin Teeth for the occasion.  As was expected, the candy went over all too well with the sugar crazed two… Read More

The Halloween Countdown Continues

October 17, 2011July 28, 2015

We’re picking back up on day nine of our countdown to Halloween! October 9: Scary Brunch Scary pancakes, oranges, bacon and orange colored milk (if only we’d had orange juice on hand) were gobbled up by our little goblins.  Pancake molds purchased on clearance from Williams-Sonoma last year.  Straws from Dollar Tree. October 10: Spooky… Read More

Halloween Countdown is On

October 10, 2011July 28, 2015

We’re counting down to the spookiest day of the year with a fun treat each day… Oct 1:  Boo! Breakfast The littles gobbled up this not-so-scary ghost inspired breakfast.  Frozen waffles were toasted and cut with ghost cookie cutters (large black sprinkles made the eyes) and banana halves turned ghostly with a food safe marker.… Read More

Come Inside…If You Dare

October 4, 2011July 28, 2015

Just as soon as we arrived home from Disney, I enlisted our house goblin (more commonly known as Honey) to scour our spooky, spider filled attic for the Halloween storage bins of yesteryear.  And the very next day, the little ghouls and I headed to the dollar store for a buggy full of supplemental crows… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
