On My Bedside {The Other Woman}

February 12, 2020February 12, 2020

I recently read The Other Woman by Sandie Jones. I didn’t read the back of the book and went into this one blind. In the end, that worked in my favor because I had no idea what was happening for a good ways into the book. When I figured it out I thought WOW! This… Read More

On My Bedside {The Breakdown}

January 29, 2020January 29, 2020

Coming on the heels of Behind Closed Doors, I was super excited to crack open the cover of The Breakdown, also by B. A. Paris. It has a great, engaging start, a rather boring middle, and then finishes up with an ending that I didn’t see coming. Overall, it is a good read and my… Read More

Little Women

January 16, 2020January 15, 2020

Bestie M went to see Little Women Monday night and it was just wonderful. I read the books a couple of times, in middle school and again in high school. I was so enamored by the March sisters. As y’all know, “Marme” is the name Sister and I have used for Mother since the beginning… Read More

On My Bedside {Behind Closed Doors}

January 9, 2020January 9, 2020

I am SO excited to share this book with y’all – Behind Closed Doors is one of the most thrilling, twisted, disturbing, page turner I’ve read in a LONG time. I want to stress the “disturbing” parts as there were certainly a couple of times when I thought I can’t keep reading this. Yet, there… Read More

On My Bedside {The Last Time I Lied}

November 20, 2019November 20, 2019

I found The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager when searching the library shelves for Lock Every Door. Lock Every Door was unavailable so I carried this one home instead. And it was SOOOOO good! It was unpredictable, suspenseful and a little nostalgic with the whole summer sleep away camp theme. I stayed up… Read More

On My Bedside {Caroline: Little House Revisited}

November 5, 2019October 31, 2019

Last month I read Caroline: Little House Revisited and loved every minute. I grew up on the Little House books and this one felt like a visit with old friends. It was particularly interesting to have read Laura’s stories of her childhood as a child, and then to read Ma’s side of the story as… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
