St. Patrick’s Day Favorites

March 1, 2013March 15, 2017

Hailing from Savannah, St. Patrick’s Day is one of my all time favorite holidays!!  It was such a big deal growing up – with parades and parties and green on everything from the river to the biscuits at Bojangles.  And while it’s not as widely celebrated here in Atlanta, I love to bring a little… Read More

Lucky Leprechaun Breakfast

March 17, 2012February 16, 2016

This morning the littles awoke to an Under the Rainbow Lucky Leprechaun Breakfast hosted by our leprechaun friend Sham!  The littles were plum giddy with excitement.  I mean, they could hardly believe that our holiday elf Scout’s best leprechaun friend Sham came all the way here from Ireland on his busiest day of the year. … Read More

Beef and Guinness Stew

March 15, 2012March 15, 2017

Earlier this week we dined on a delish supper of Beef and Guinness Stew and Brown Soda Bread.  Unlike last year, I got super lazy and decided to forego the browning of the beef, cooking of the onions, and hours of stirring and simmering and for just throwing it all in the crock pot and… Read More

Shamrock Hot Chocolate + Snack

March 14, 2012March 15, 2017

This easy peasy little treat falls under the category of teaching an old dog new tricks.  Recall back at Valentine’s Day when we made a same ‘cept different variety. Yesterday, I served up Shamrock Hot Chocolate along side a cup of Lucky Charms (or Magic Stars as the Publix brand is called) for a sweet… Read More

Lucky to Have You… {Printable}

March 13, 2012August 1, 2015

Here’s a last minute treat that you can whip up in no time at all before St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday! We rolled Oreo Cakesters in green sprinkles, bagged them and dressed them up with “lucky to have you for a friend” toppers. Seriously people, this is a no bake, no fail treat that’s just… Read More

Savannah Day 4: Celebrating St. Pats

March 11, 2012July 28, 2015

It’s been our tradition for the last few years to skip the downtown parade in favor of the beach parade.  It’s super kid friendly – they throw beads and candy from the floats (which is not allowed downtown) and it’s only about an hour long event (versus three downtown).  We arrived at the beach early,… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
