A Haunted Halloween {Kitchen + Dining Room}

Our tour is winding down… just a few more happily haunted spaces to share!

In the kitchen I’ve got my Ballard Designs jack-o-lantern shades out, touches of Halloween in my vignettes and bowls of candy on every counter.

On the kitchen counter I went with sweet and salty snacks this year.  Little bags of Halloween pretzels and clementines fit the bill and are useful to boot.  The tombstone chalkboard was from Michael’s.

Over the breakfast nook I have my two felt wreaths from Target.  They did come out with new, similar versions this year.

You can see our creepy hologram pictures on the far wall.  We had these made down in Disney one year when we were dressed up as the Haunted Mansion ghost hosts.  These are my all time favorite Disney souvenir!!

On the table I’m using my new haunted manor cake pan.  I love it SO much!!  It is on sale at Williams Sonoma right now for $27.   I will share my recipe here soon.

The holidays are my favorite as my normal coffee bar is transformed into a much more magical hot cocoa and coffee station.   The monogrammed mugs are from the Dixie Delights Shop and you can find the flavored syrups here and syrup pumps here.

I have been keeping the dining room neutral at Halloween but when I saw the gorgeous yellow roses I knew I had to use them.  One of the few things I remember about my grandma is that she loved them.  <3

I set such simple place settings that I totally forgot to put out the glassware and silverware until we sat down to eat.  HAHA!

The rats were collected from the Dollar Tree and the ceramic pumpkins were from the dollar spot at Target last year.

Over on the sideboard I am using my new eyeball balls from Grandin Road.  They spent a brief time on the porch until Honey told me they “creeped” him out every time he went to wash his hands.

There’s just one more stop on the tour before we reach the dead end.

  1. Love the spooky décor!! But I have to agree with Honey–the eyeballs are creepy but definitely over the top!!!!
    Happy Spooky!!

    1. I did that for years before finally buying them. I started out with 4 in my foyer and when I moved them to the kitchen a few years later I added the rest. I occasionally see them at the outlet now but found they never went on sale through the catalog or online.
