Haunted Halloween Home Tour 2024 {Entry Foyer}

October is here and our Haunted Halloween Home Tour begins in the entry foyer! Kindly step all the way in please, and make room for everyone. There’s no turning back now.

I used a lacy table cloth as a topper to the “everyday” skirt on my entry table.   I really like how the spiders and webs pop! I switched out the chandelier shades for these black and white DIY shades from a while back.  Bats are flying high on the mirror. The clings are over 10 years old!  They were originally from Michael’s.

I added three more Molly Jenkins pottery ghosts to my Third Bowl Pottery / Mollie Jenkins collection from last year. Inside each is a battery operated flickering tea light that really adds to the ambiance at night.

As always at this time of year, you’ll find rats scampering up and down the stairs. These are cardstock cut outs that I use painters tape to stick to the risers. Like the bats, I’ve used them for many years. Decorations like this are great because they are inexpensive and store flat!

Another thing I enjoy doing is using props for the boys’ costumes in the decor. For example, I tucked this axe in umbrella stand for an unexpected fright.

Overall, it is a pared down scene from normal, but I just wasn’t feeling clutter this year.

Here you can see how narrow this table is looking back. The ghosts are the perfect fit!

I sure do miss my Halloween-loving oldest child. The tour continues tomorrow!
