The guys have wanted to try spring break skiing since a cancelled 2020 trip and we are finally making that happen! Honey worked in Vail each winter in college and has always told the boys how much he loved it.

Traveling to Canada
We spent a long day traveling from Atlanta to Vancouver (almost 6 hour flight!). Arriving in Vancouver, we were whisked away for the scenic 2+ hour to Whistler. (I handle private transfers for my clients, too!) We loved seeing spring on the ground and snow in the mountains.

Arriving at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler
I love pulling up to a beautiful hotel :-) The bellmen took our copious amount of luggage and we were directed right up to the Fairmont Gold lounge for check-in. After a tour of the lounge, we sat down for a snack while the bags were brought up. (Ski bag with skis and boots go straight to the ski concierge)
Immerse yourself in luxury at Whistler’s iconic ski-in/ski-out haven where timeless elegance meets modern alpine ambiance. Nestled at the foot of Blackcomb Mountain, Fairmont Chateau Whistler offers exceptional dining, incomparable resort amenities, championship golf course, and unparalleled access to Whistler’s endless outdoor adventures.

Executive Suite at Fairmont Chateau Whistler
Our room was ready and it felt amazing to settle right in. The executive suite sleeps four and is spacious, elegant and so cozy I’m not sure I’ll want to leave! The entry foyer is large enough to store your shoes and gear. After all, Whistler is a sporting haven all year round! While the ski concierge keeps your boots and skis, there is so.much.stuff. on top of that. It’s luxurious to have a space for it. The beverage bar is here off of the entry, as well as a half bath.

The living room is a true mountain escape, with the wood beams, leather sectional, fireplace, juliette balcony and alpine decor.

The bedroom is elegant and spacious, with a king bed, second fireplace and another juliette balcony.

Just off of the bedroom is a dressing table and massive closet. Living out of a suitcase on vacation hardly feels like vacation. I really appreciate a room with space to settle in.

The marble bathroom is huge with double sinks, a toilet room with bidet, shower and soaking tub. The rose scented toiletries are heavenly.

Alpenglow Happy Hour at Mallard Lounge
Once we unpacked and freshened up, we were off to the Mallard Lounge for my favorite kind of apres ski – the kind you enjoy without any skiing at all. The lounge had live music and the Auburn-Florida game on all of the TVs so we it was a pretty great time, despite Auburn’s loss.

Back in the room, we did our best to stay up and adjust to the time change. I luxuriated in the bath and then read by the fire while the guys watched basketball in the living room. A perfect start to spring skiing!
