Come Inside…If You Dare

October 4, 2011July 28, 2015

Just as soon as we arrived home from Disney, I enlisted our house goblin (more commonly known as Honey) to scour our spooky, spider filled attic for the Halloween storage bins of yesteryear.  And the very next day, the little ghouls and I headed to the dollar store for a buggy full of supplemental crows… Read More

Halloween Count Down

October 3, 2011July 28, 2015

My Disney recap was a few days behind, so we’ve been back for a couple of days decorating and counting down to one of our favorite holidays of the year…HaLlOwEeN!!!!! If there’s one thing we all love and get behind around these parts, it’s counting down to anything special.  We counted down to Christmas, counted… Read More

Disney Day 5: Magic Kingdom (again!)

October 2, 2011August 3, 2015

We started our last day in Disney at a magical breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table.  With reservations an hour before the park opened, we were one of the first in the gates at a quarter to eight.  It was an extraordinary feeling to be walking down main street without a swarm of people! Months ago… Read More

Disney Day 4: Hollywood Studios

October 1, 2011August 3, 2015

After taking it *easy* for a day in Epcot, we were up and at ’em again for breakfast at Chef Mickey’s.  We hopped on the monorail and, after much pondering about the “cool building that the monorail goes right through”, the littles were pretty excited to disembark at the Contemporary for a change. The littles… Read More

Disney Day 3: Epcot

September 30, 2011August 3, 2015

Day three kicked off bright and early when we hopped on the monorail to Epcot.  I should back up… it first kicked off with the blaring alarm and me having to, mustering all of my will and inner strength, peel myself out of the bed, force a smile and prepare to go at it all… Read More

Disney Day 2: Magic Kingdom

September 29, 2011August 3, 2015

Today was the day I’ve been so looking forward to for seven months.  The day my littles (and Honey too) step off the monorail, walk through the grand gates at the Magic Kingdom and take in the sights and sounds of Main Street with Cinderella’s Castle gloriously ahead in the distance.  And it was everything… Read More

Disney Day 1: Animal Kingdom

September 28, 2011August 3, 2015

We arrived at Animal Kingdom bright and early and bee-lined straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari, where we saw loads of amazing African creatures.  I was just in utter disbelief that the things weren’t caged in. They appeared to be roaming totally free.  How amazing!! We were lucky enough to see the four month old baby… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
