Pillow Talk

Let’s talk pillows, shall we?  Specifically, I’d love your input on pillows for my new sofa.  I definitely want to add a little blue to go with the rest of the room.  I don’t really want a print or a check because I already have those in the space.

Option A: This is where I’ve been headed from the get go.  Two long lumbar pillows made out of the drapery fabric.  It’s pretty and doesn’t wrinkle when used.  (I hate having wrinkled pillows on the sofa and we use this one every day.)  Something like this…

Option B: Two regular square pillows – one on each end.  I don’t want to load it up with too many because they always end up on the floor anyway and it needs to be practical for every day heavy use.  Here are some options:

Suzanne Kasler Quatrefoil Applique Pillow Cover - Mineral 22"

(not sure if this is exactly the right color, but something blue with a white monogram)

Option C: NEW!!  One long lumbar.  THANK YOU to Jackie and Tery for jogging my memory on this one :-)

Oh, and for those of you that suggested a monogrammed lumbar, Jane was kind enough to send me a picture of her gorgeous pillow.  Some variation of this could be quite nice too!!

So what say y’all???  The lumbars, the quatrefoil, the monograms, something else???  I’m excited to hear!!  Oh, and if you’ve seen a fabulous fabric, send me a link to that too :-)  (Now I’m being really greedy!)

Sunday Supper {Penne Alla Vecchia Bettola}

Oh my stars.  I have no words for the deliciousness that is Ina’s Penna Alla Vecchia Bettola.  This sort of put-on-your-elastic-waist-band-pants-so-you-can-fit-in-another-helping type of dish doesn’t  regularly grace my table. I’m a little obsessed with my first Ina cookbook *gasp* that Mother and Daddy-O gave me for Christmas.  I mean, I’ve always loved her, but now my DVR… Read More

Musings

CeeCee and Bird gave me the Kiel James Patrick Vickers Bow Bracelet that I’ve been lusting over for eons on Christmas.  Those littles have some good taste!  It’s silk and it’s gorgey and I now want one in every color of the rainbow. This Minnie bow wristlet is absolutely darling.  Of course, we are still… Read More

The Napkins

I finally bit the bullet and had a set of sixteen hemstitched pure linen napkins done with my custom monogram from Number Four Eleven. I hemmed and hawed over what color combination to do and ended up choosing white napkins with just a hint of cream and matching thread for the monogram.  They were a… Read More
