We got to town last night and kicked off our stay with a whirlwind day! The littles awoke at the crack of dawn and we headed off to spend a sunny, hot and glorious day at Tybee.
Waterlogged and sand-laden, we grabbed some slushies for the littles and then hit a few Tybee must shops like Seaside Sisters and Latitude 32 (and the Shops at Tybee Oaks) to ogle a variety of coastal inspired finds. (One of the beauties of Tybee is that anything goes – you can shop any shop and eat in any restaurant while waterlogged and sand-laden and no one bats an eye.)

And then we headed out to see the Savannah Sand Gnats play what just might’ve been the most boring baseball game ever. Lack of runs and sorry hits aside, it’s a fun way to get up close and personal with the minor league as seats right behind home plate are pretty easy to come by and the snack stands have all sorts of ballgame goodness like hotdogs, peanuts and Cracker Jacks.

The littles have crashed and I’m right behind them!

Last Leg
This sweet little junk store table and chair set (all decked out to ring in 2007) was pretty much on it’s last leg by the time we left our old house. With a wobbly table and two chairs beyond repair, the last two chairs have been sadly tucked away in the attic for the last… Read More

This year, we signed up for the Rolling on the River experience where campers explore the Chattahoochee River and its inhabitants, wade through wetlands and discover their significance, and learn about the importance of water conservation. Things really started to pick up the end of last week! We got the gas line tied in from the house to the fireplace, passed that inspection and passed our framing inspection. Wahoo! As Father’s Day draws to a close, I am so very thankful for both the father that raised me and the father that’s raising my littles. I’m grateful for their kind hearts and I love them both with all of mine. I’ve written about loving these two, and today I’m going to share how proud… Read More
