Mother Makes: First Communion Banner

April 30, 2014March 28, 2017

All of the littles making their First Communion were asked to make a banner to mark their family’s pew as a family project.  We tackled the project while in Savannah on spring break and think it is just beautiful!   We poured through my fabric cabinet for remnants perfect for this project, choosing the linen… Read More

Peter Burlap Tail

March 29, 2014July 28, 2015

Well, the first day of Spring came (and went leaving more cold temps behind) and I finally got some decent plants in my pots and my entry all decked out for Easter!!  I picked up the luscious maiden hair ferns at Miracle Greenhouse in Savannah.  And I totally said a little prayer before handing over… Read More

Mother Makes {A Gorgeous Home}

March 19, 2014July 28, 2015

I have a real treat for y’all today!!  Since it was just the baby and me after the others left, things were finally calm enough for me to take some pictures of Mother and Daddy-O’s stunning coastal home.  They built the house on one of Savannah’s barrier islands about twenty-five years ago and have infused… Read More

Mother Makes {DIY Door Decor from Screens}

March 14, 2013March 11, 2017

When on our Tuesday shopping spree, Mother and I fell in love with the door decor at Matty’s ($45) and set out yesterday to make our own! We made three – for both of us and Sister – and are beyond thrilled with how they turned out!!  (Note, this was before we touched up paint… Read More

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍
