Cowboy Party {Invitations}

November 8, 2011July 28, 2015

The PCP celebrated his birthday cowboy style this past Saturday, and for the rest of the week I’ll be sharing all the convivial details, sources and how-tos!! I spent loads of time creating, tweaking and re-tweaking the invitations but it was sooo worth it!  They set the scene, scheme and theme for the entire affair.… Read More

A Rootin Tootin Cowboy Party

November 8, 2011July 28, 2015

It’s awfully hard to believe, but we spent our Saturday celebrating one very special young man’s almost sixth birthday. We rounded up ten little cowpoke friends and put them though an afternoon of cowboy training.  They had a rootin tootin grand ole time earning badges as they completed each phase of cowboy schooling at the… Read More

S’more Halloween Fun {Free Printable}

October 27, 2011July 28, 2015

Is it bad to say that I’m glad Halloween has almost come and gone?  It’s runner up for favorite holiday in my book but sheesh – I’m realizing I don’t like it enough to celebrate for a whole month :-)  Let’s move on to Christams.  Stat. Alas, I can’t fast forward the hands of time… Read More

Pumpkin Teeth {Free Printable}

October 26, 2011August 1, 2015

The baby had his Halloween fete at school yesterday and, over the course of a few Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episodes and one gazillion trips to the potty, we whipped up these cute little bags of Pumpkin Teeth for the occasion.  As was expected, the candy went over all too well with the sugar crazed two… Read More

Red Ribbon Week

October 23, 2011July 28, 2015

As if the Halloween Countdown isn’t enough of a daily task to manage, we went ahead and added Red Ribbon Week to the agenda. Red Ribbon Week is how the PCP’s school gets together and presents a unified and visible commitment toward the creation of a Drug-Free America.  Honey and I continued the fun at home,… Read More

Flashback Friday {Another Cupcake Party}

October 21, 2011July 28, 2015

One convivial cupcake celebration wasn’t enough for this family.  It was just too sweet of a theme (not to mention that I had all the gear) to not use for a similar but seriously scaled down (poor second child) family gathering in celebration of the baby’s first birthday. The birthday boy in all his chunky, cupcake… Read More

Flashback Friday {Elmo Party}

September 2, 2011July 28, 2015

This little Elmo fete presented quite the party throwing challenge for the gal who swore up and down she’d never ever have cartoon characters printed on her party goods.  But when the PCP proclaimed, with the stomp of his right foot might I add, that he was having an Elmo party I was bound and… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
