On My Bedside {12 Books in 12 Months: Daisy Jones & The Six}

June 22, 2023June 22, 2023

I’m trucking along with my 12 Books in 12 Months project, a list compiled by YOU to kick off 2023. I have to say, every single one has been such a delight and many are not books that were on my radar. For June I absolutely devoured Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins… Read More

On My Bedside {12 Books in 12 Months: Wish You Were Here}

May 26, 2023June 22, 2023

I’m clocking in with my May read just in the nick of time. Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult was an easy and engaging story. She wrote this book during the pandemic and it was the first fictional piece I’ve read that covers that timeframe. I suspect there will be many, many more to… Read More

On My Bedside {12 Books In 12 Months: The Dutch House}

April 12, 2023April 11, 2023

It’s time for the April installment of my 12 Books in 12 Months project, where the list of 12 reads came straight from YOUR top books you’ve ever read recommendations. Over spring break I literally devoured The Dutch House by Ann Patchett! This was a powerful novel and moving tale about the bond between two siblings and… Read More

Listening Lately {One Perfect Lie}

March 21, 2023March 21, 2023

I often have a podcast, an audio book, a Netflix series and an actual book that I am engaged in at the same time. I listen to things while doing house work, walking or driving solo. I watch Netflix while walking on the tread. And, I read at night. I always choose audio books that… Read More

Listening Lately {We Were Never Here}

March 3, 2023March 3, 2023

I feel like I have become another victim of the digital age, unable to do just one thing at a time. So, while I love to read a real book, I almost always am listening to another book and at least one podcast. I tend to listen when the boys aren’t in the car and… Read More

I’m checking in today with the second check off my list of 12 Books in 12 Months – The Gown by Jennifer Robson. The Gown I know what you’re thinking – here she is again with yet another World War II fictional story. What can I say? I like what I like. :-) I loved… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
