Currently Binging {Handmaid’s Tale}

September 20, 2018September 18, 2018

Earlier this Spring  I shared my thoughts on The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood.  I found the book sad and horrifying and it made me angry.  So, not a glowing review, but I can’t think of any other way to describe it.  Is it worth reading once?  Yes. Well, I started The Handmaid’s Tale on… Read More

Disney Aladdin at the Fox Theater

September 19, 2018September 18, 2018

Sunday night I had the pleasure of seeing Disney Aladdin at the Fox Theater with two of my theater loving besties!  We started with a dinner of cheese and chocolate fondue at The Melting Pot (just a block away) and then headed in for the evening show. The Fox Theater was a spectacular setting for… Read More

Currently Binging {Sharp Objects}

August 30, 2018September 15, 2018

I put all my books aside for the last 10 days and binge watched Sharp Objects.  I finished last night and my mind was blown.  It was really good, in a really bad way (much like the book).  If you like completely twisted psychological thrillers, this is a series for you.  There are only eight… Read More

The Greatest Showman {Free Printable Art}

January 31, 2018January 31, 2018

I shared last week just how much I loved The Greatest Showman.  I’ve had the soundtrack on since the minute I walked out of the theater – in the car, while folding laundry and everything in between.  Not only are the singing, dancing, scenes, costumes and characters amazing, but the movie is full of so… Read More

The Greatest Showman

January 25, 2018January 31, 2018

I saw The Greatest Showman this week and it is amazing!  It is the best movie I’ve seen in a long, long time.  I felt invested in the story almost immediately and was surprised to find myself on the edge of my seat a few times with a bit of anxiety over how things would… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️ Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
