Musings

Per usual, Georgia Tech football has been nothing to write home about. However, this sweet child certainly is.

Oh, if I had a daughter sir, I’d dress her in white and gold
And put her on the campus, sir, to cheer on the brave and bold

In food news, I made the Magnolia Table Spinach and Leek Risotto. Don’t waste your time on that one. It was an odd mix of flavors and a lot of work for something so meh.

However, I also recently made this soup and it was delicious…

I reached a lofty goal at work and we celebrated like this when I got the news! :-) Many, many thanks to ALL of you that have trusted your travels to me.

In recent Disney blog news, I shared a fantastic new experience particularly great for older kids at Disney…

Along with Food & Wine Festival Favorites, booking information for Disney Cruises through Spring 2021 (book now for best rates!!), and a review of Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

In other travel news, we spent Labor Day weekend at Montage Palmetto Bluff. It is a spectacular resort that I cannot recommend enough for a Lowcountry getaway. You can read all about our stay HERE.

I LOVE all of the holidays from Labor Day through New Years, and decorating for and celebrating Halloween all month long has always been near the top of my list. I received new Halloween cereals from General Mills this week.

Sometimes they just go into the breakfast rotation, but this was one of my favorite ways to serve them.

I’ve been sharing our Halloween Home Tour all month long and still have a few rooms to go.

I also compiled 19 Ideas for Halloween and a spooky Reading List…

Before I kicked off the Halloween home tour, I shared the details of our Mudroom facelift that went on in tandem with the kitchen update…

Happy Everything has a great promo going on right now where if you buy a large platter you get one free. Perfect to tuck away for Christmas shopping! I love their things.

With Christmas shopping on the mind, does anyone have experience with this? I think my boys would like it! I texted a friend about it and then 2 minutes later this ad showed up on my Instagram. I am genuinely interested though.

It wouldn’t be musings without an Elsa pic. These two are inseparable. Remember when I didn’t want a dog?!

And, finally, this one came up on Facebook memories this week. John loved this fish so much. It’s name was “Mr. Todd” after our beloved neighbor.

I’ll leave you with this. That kid ^^ took the PSAT this week. I’m still a little in shock.

  1. True Tech fans are always there! I have loved Tech since I was a little kid! We went through the 70’s and 80’s to the wonderful 1990 season! Georgia Tech supporters are “die-hard” supporters!! Go Jackets!!!!

    1. So true. We keep waiting on another 1990! That was before I lived in Atlanta but Honey talks about it alllll the time.
