Classic Christmas Home Tour 2020 {Living Room + Office}

I thought I’d kick off the weekend by finishing up the inside part of my Christmas decor tour. The last rooms are the living room and office and I decided to share them together since they are the only two that aren’t done in red and green!

Living Room Blue and White Christmas Decor

I much prefer a collected tree over a styled tree, but every tree has a time and place, right?!  In our home, the living room tree has a color scheme – silver, gold and aqua.  I do it here because we don’t spend a lot of time in this room and I wanted a tree that could be seen from the street and the foyer, but that didn’t require finding new things for it every year.

On the antique secretary, I keep a collection of my boy’s Santa pics from through the years.  I always use them in my den and kitchen, but now that we are on year 16, I needed more space to show them all!  (Santa 2020 will be my first and hopefully only horizontal picture. HA!)

I also have my Grandma-O’s Christmas music box displayed here.  I remember this in her home when I was really little and am honored to proudly display it in my home now.

My mom, sister and I made the nativity canvas out of oyster shells last Christmas. You can see it here! Sister gave me the angel canvas the Christmas Matthew was born.

Outside of the tree, I haven’t done much in the living room in Christmases past.  Just some greenery on the sconces, really.

I also keep my beloved Christmas pyramid from my Adventures by Disney Germany trip in the living room.  I bought this in the charming town of Rothenburg and love it as much here at home as I did abroad.  I still haven’t lit the candles – I’m terrified of burning the whole thing down.

I cleared the usual items off of the coffee table and did stacks of collected Christmas books. Nobody, outside of me, in this family has shown any interest, but every time CeeCee comes over she heads straight in here to pick a book to read. <3

Office Colorful Christmas Decor

Next is the my office. I revamped this room back in January, so it was fun to also rethink my Christmas decor. As usual, I went with PINK, because I need a little more pink in my life!

I have a simple calendar from Simply Jessica Marie on the desk (I swiped all the junk that is usually here in the desk drawer), and Nutcracker themed nutcrackers from my parent’s collection on the credenza.

My Lilly themed tree is in my Lilly book basket this year and I love having it here when I’m working. I usually start my work day around 5:30 AM, and it feels extra magical with the twinkle lights. It’s hard to see the tree topper, but it is pink and gold and belonged to my grandma. The ornaments are from Lilly direct and etsy!

While my boys have outgrown the cute advent calendar, I still like to hang it up. <3

The dresser is used for storage in here, and I swap out just a couple of the decorative items with Chrsitmas things. A bowl of candy keeps the kids wanting to come in and visit with me during work / virtual school. John made the art years ago and it is still one of my all time favorites. Neither of my boys are artistic so I treasure the few things that have come home and looked thoughtful and intentional. Can anyone else relate?!

I’ll wrap the tour up next week with the porch and backyard!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead. We will be celebrating Whit’s birthday ALL DAY LONG tomorrow. :-)
