One of my favorite DIY tricks is to spruce up a basic Christmas wreath for a custom look! While the ready made options can be lovely, they are still outrageously expensive even on sale. In this video I share a step-by-step tutorial on how to get a gorgeous wreath for just a few dollars and a few minutes of your time.
My favorite place to shop for supplies is Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. I always go armed with a coupon, although both stores have had their lot of Christmas items on at least 50% off sale since Halloween.

I love that y’all have sent me so many pictures of your DIY flower arrangements after my first video. Send your wreaths over as well!!! I’ve got one more Christmas DIY coming, but if there is anything YOU want to see, let me know!!

I wouldn’t like to see you do something regarding your wardrobe. I have trouble giving myself (how I dress) as much attention as decorating my house! I would love to see something on simplifying and putting outfits together.
*Would- not wouldn’t! ^^
Great idea! I will have to put that together!
Love how easy this is…definitely something I will do.
I never think of hanging a wreath from a mirror.
I have a beautiful mirror in my foyer and I’m going
to do this for certain.
I’m so glad!! xo
I would LOVE to see a tutorial on how you hang your garland. Both over the front door and on the staircase! Its something I struggle with each year and would love some tips!
Great idea!! I will have to put that together.
Loved Elsa in the background, just like a child, she thinks “Mom’s busy! I can get away with things when mom’s busy!” Wreath looked great btw!
Haha! She is such a toddler. Into everything!! xo
Thank you for the great tutorials! I found some gorgeous ribbon at TJMax today, and am planning on sprucing up some wreaths with it…and now I know how :)
LOVED seeing Honey and Elsa in the background!
YAY!!! I hope they turned out!! Yes, Honey and Elsa stole the show :-)
Beautiful wreath Amanda! So…I was just reading your blog and then clicked over to Instagram and saw a video from a book club meeting with one of my favorite authors, Emily Giffin, and it looks like YOU in the video!! Is that you or an Amanda look alike? Back to wreaths…I just hosted a bow making and wreath designing party at my home decor shop, Dogwoods. Take a peak at our results on Instagram (dogwoodsdecor).
Hi! That was not me but I would LOVE to go to a book club meeting with her!!! Can’t wait to check out your instagram!! xo
