After my brief little sneak peek with the 12 Days of Christmas tour kickoff, I’m going to be sharing all the details of every room of our holiday home over the next two weeks!! Let’s start with the exterior.
I just love a festive home from the street!! Every year we hang a wreath from every window and garlands around the doors and railings. See my easy technique for bows in this video >> How to Make Christmas Bows and how to hang your wreaths in this post >> 2 Easy Ways to Hang Christmas Wreaths.
My ferns are still hanging on, which is amazing since I have forgotten to water them for oh, like a month.
Elsa was all about getting in my pics. You know she is never far. <3
It was such a dreary day when I popped out for these pics. I wish y’all could all come right over and see how cheerful it really is in person!
Hey mommy! What are you doing down there?
Our friends entry gets a monogrammed wreath as well. See how I made it and get links to the products used here >> Holiday Monogram Wreath
If I were on my game I would have gotten the blower out to clean this up a bit. Buuuttttt, you can tell I am behind by the fact the porch tree still doesn’t have a single ornament. Where are those boys when you need them?!
Now, y’all come on in!! I also go with the traditional red and green inside and carry it through each room of the house.
We usually visit Santa early in the season and I swap out the frame in the foyer with the current year’s pic.
I tie the garland on to the banister with a thin sheer ribbon. It’s easy to get up and doesn’t ruin the wood hand rail.
I added the most gorgeous new ribbon to my garlands this year from Michael’s! I accent with pheasant feathers throughout this space and the family room.
I can’t wait to share the rest of the house over the coming days. It’s the MOST wonderful time of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
