Our St. Patrick’s Day eve Sunday Supper kicked off with cheese and crackers. I always love a chance to use our Happy Everything!

We use the dining room more than ever now that it is our sole sit-down dining space. Even with three of us here I think it is important to gather at the table every chance we can.

I set the table with this festive tablecloth and plates, cups and napkins I’ve had for years. I have had the rose bowl in the kitchen, but moved it for a centerpiece tonight.

At each place setting I included a little leprechaun hat and chocolate coins (dollar store).

While I love celebrating every holiday, doing one of John’s favorites without him felt a little bittersweet. Anyone whose been around here for more than a couple of months will know that John’s most requested meal of all time is Cottage Pie and his favorite dessert is creme de menthe brownies.
The meal is not a looker, that’s for certain. But it’s become one I think my boys will remember forever.
