I so miss the days of growing up in Savannah when today was a holiday! That was the best :-) Instead, we all headed off to school and work today. I did start my day with coffee in the Savannah mug Daddy-O recently gave me.

Mondays are always my busiest work day of the year. Whit had a golf tournament, too. And so, I did an easy peasy supper of corned beef sandwiches, blackberries, carrots and sauerkraut, and creme de menthe brownies (Started them Sunday night and finished them off this morning.) We had a little leftover cheese so I put that out, too.
Brownie Recipe – This beloved recipe is one my dear friend CT’s mom used to make for us in college. It seems like yesterday. She gave me the cookbook at a wedding shower and wrote the kindest note inside. Every time I make them I think of her. I can hardly believe it’s been 30 years, they are my son’s favorite treat and he is now in college.

For the brownies, Where do you find a 16 ounce can of chocolate syrup? Brand? I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a can. Is there a substitute?
They no longer sell it in the can! It’s just Hershey’s syrup. I buy the squeeze bottle and squeeze it out. :-)
