Easter Entry

April 4, 2020April 1, 2021

For my mini Easter tour, I’ve moved into the foyer today. I have a small arrangement of pink flowers. I would have preferred white but, hey, you get what you get. I’ve been diligent about trimming stems and changing water in hopes of getting many days of enjoyment out of it. I put my small… Read More

Easter Decor in the Kitchen

April 3, 2020April 3, 2020

I mentioned yesterday that I have put out a few Easter things here and there. It will just be the four of us this year, but we’ve had plenty of time at home to make the effort worthwhile. :-) I shared my moss bunny basket yesterday. It’s my very favorite thing for this year! I… Read More

Easter Bunny Basket Decor

April 2, 2020April 2, 2020

I’ve added a few Easter touches here and there over the last couple of weeks. We’ve been isolating at home and I’ve shopped things I already had to decorate for Easter. I love how this one turned out! I used John’s basket and filled it with paper shreds I had saved from a package I… Read More

April Fool’s Silly Supper Sideshow {Free Printables}

April 1, 2020April 2, 2020

Come one! Come All!  The gentlemen of the household awoke to find invitations to a Silly Supper Sideshow. I haven’t done a dinner like this in years, since we are usually on Spring Break come April 1. Whit didn’t remember the last one at all, while John (who has a mind like a steel trap)… Read More

Easter Welcome

March 31, 2020April 1, 2020

In previous years, I feel like Spring just sprung. This year, I witnessed tiny buds unfold to leaves and flowers and everything is green and hopeful. I was eager to put my Easter decor out just as soon as St. Patrick’s day was over. I’m using my Have Mercy cross attached it to a boxwood wreath (from… Read More

Epcot’s La Hacienda de San Angel

March 30, 2020March 31, 2020

When we were at Disney back in January celebrating JuJu’s 70th birthday, the adults had a delicious night out at La Hacienda de San Angel for the first time! The restaurant is situated right on the World Showcase lagoon and serves authentic Mexican cuisine and premium margaritas. We started out the night with margaritas, naturally.… Read More

Sunday Supper {BBQ Sundae + Key Lime Pie}

March 29, 2020March 31, 2020

With weekends much more free than they usually are come spring, we took advantage of the extra time to pull together one of my favorite Sunday Supper comfort food meals: BBQ Sundaes and Holly’s Key Lime Pie. I read an article in Southern Living years ago about a BBQ Sundae and have been making my… Read More

Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻 Some nights just deserve a place on the grid. 🎻⚡️

Whit had the incredible honor of learning from and performing on stage with Mark Wood… original electric violinist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra, creator of the iconic Viper electric violin and composer known for blending classical music with rock energy in the most unforgettable way.

And unforgettable is exactly what this night was.

Symphonic rock. Hard rock. Heavy metal. A full stage of student musicians absolutely pouring their hearts into every note with so much confidence, passion and energy.

And then there was Whit… featured cellist during Carry On Wayward Son, which already held a spot on my all-time favorites list before this night. Watching him up there completely in his element was one of those proud mom moments I know I’ll hold onto forever.

I know this video is long and maybe a little “mom scrapbook” coded… but this one deserved its square among the memories and adventures.🤍
