What We’re Watching Part 5

If my spring and early summer was made for reading, the dog days of summer were made for watching. I binged allllll the latest seasons of many favorite shows.

Virgin River Season 4

Virgin River (netflix) continued to be soap opera level drama in season 4. But I was totally there for all twelve episodes. There were a few points in the show where I mused – there is literally not one thing left that could go wrong. Alas, I was the one who was wrong on that front. Regardless, you know I’ll be tuned in for season 5 – hoping television’s longest pregnancy ever finally results in a couple of babies – and I still recommend Virgin River for some mindless, mildly dramatic, light romance. There’s just something about Jack and Mel I can’t get enough of.

Emily in Paris Season 2

Emily in Paris continues to be absolutely adorable. Emily got herself in a few cringy situations this season and I soaked up every second. I love seeing Paris, Emily’s quirky personality, her sometimes darling – often outrageous outfits, and the fun drama of her everyday life. This one goes quickly as each episode is only about half an hour. Can’t wait for season 3!

Bridgerton Season 2

I just can’t stop with Bridgerton!!! I mean, who doesn’t love a basic soap opera with fancy accents, gorgeous gowns, handsome men and balls. (Balls as in the kind where you dance, ladies.) This season’s story line was perfectly predictable from basically episode 1, but that didn’t damper my enjoyment. I am giddy for season three and will be counting down the days until I can binge more Bridgerton!

I even attended the Queen’s Ball in Atlanta this season with my bestie!

Outlander Season 6

The Outlander series are my favorite books I’ve ever read. Ever. I keep thinking about starting them again, but you’ll know that’s daunting if you’ve seen the size of them. For the past few years I’ve been watching the Starz series, anxiously awaiting the drop of each new season. The latest one was six and I was just as obsessed as ever. It was almost all I could think about on a quick two night Disney jaunt with Sister and Cee. LOL. And so, before I left for my Universal agency trip last week I KNEW I had to finish it. Suffice it to say, season six is as engaging, beautiful, suspenseful, educational and enjoyable as the five before it. There were only 8 episodes due to production issues during shutdown, but season 7 should make up for it. I cannot wait!

I’m currently watching Anatomy of a Scandal on Netflix. Share your binge-worthy picks here!
