Y’all, I have never watched to much TV in my life! Here’s a part 2 of what we’re watching.
Sweet Magnolias
Sweet Magnolias immediately captured my attention. It’s a little reminiscent of Gilmore Girls and is overall just a heartwarming, slightly dramatic, super Southern watch. I was really sad when I finished season 1 and was thrilled to learn season 2 is promised.
Lifelong friends Maddie, Helen and Dana Sue lift each other up as they juggle relationships, family and careers in the small, Southern town of Serenity.
Virgin River
Coming on the heels of Sweet Magnolias, this one took a little to grow on me. I think it’s the difference of the Southern lady characters versus the Northern California cast. While the first couple of episodes started slow, I ended up binging the rest of season 1 this past weekend and was really sad when it was over. I’m looking forward to a season 2!!
Searching for a fresh start, a nurse practitioner moves from LA to a remote northern California town and is surprised by what — and who — she finds.
Hart of Dixie
Hart of Dixie is an OLD one and, now that I’m invested in it, I can’t believe it took me 9 years to start watching. I’m still on season 1, but it’s a cute, easy, mindless show that I often have on when making dinner or folding laundry.
Fast-talking city girl Zoe Hart winds up patching up the locals of a tiny town in the Deep South when she inherits a medical practice in Alabama.
Homeland
I titled this post what “we’re” watching but the previous three were what “I’m” watching. Honey and I are watching Homeland at night together. We are on season four and absolutely love it. We look forward to wrapping up dinner, dishes and homework every night!!
Homeland is an edge-of-your-seat sensation. CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is tops in her field despite being bipolar, which makes her volatile and unpredictable. With the help of her long-time mentor Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin), Carrie fearlessly risks everything, including her personal well-being and even sanity, at every turn.
