For the whole month of August we had on our loose weekend “itinerary” to try the pop-up Pop’s Oyster Shack at Drift in Marietta. We finally made it last weekend and it was SO fantastic!
The pop up window is available Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 3pm. You order outside at the bar window and all food is packaged to go. You can enjoy it there on one of the covered patio tables, or take it with you to enjoy elsewhere.
We split both options of the lobster roll… the Pop’s style warm sandwich and the Maine style cold sandwich. Both were amazing and FULL of huge pieces of lobster meat. We agreed that the Maine sandwich slightly edged out the Pop’s style for us.
In addition to lobster rolls, the menu has a good selection of soups, seafood and a burger. For picky eaters, there is a hot dog and grilled cheese kids meal option for $5.
Dessert comes in the form of my favorite… King of Pops popsicles!
Add this to your upcoming weekend plans. We definitely want to head back before they stop it for the season. (No idea when that is… definitely check before driving out there!)
