World of Color Dessert Party at Disney California Adventure

After our road trip through Alabama and Louisiana, the boys headed home and I was off bright and early to Disneyland! I can’t wait to share ALL of the magical details of our annual Glass Slipper Concierge meeting, but one of my favorite experiences of the trip was the World of Color Dessert Party! (Wait until I share my favorite… I’m still absolutely GIDDY over it!) My family did this back in 2016 for the 60th celebration and it was such a treat to experience it again.

No matter what coast you’re on, guests start finding their prime viewing locations for the nighttime spectactaculars at least an hour in advance. World of Color is no exception. There is nothing more relaxing after a long day in the park than simply walking up to dessert, a cocktail and a prime viewing location.

The World of Color party is extra special because it is a seated party, your dessert is plated (no standing in line at a buffet) AND you will have a host to bring and refill beverages. The experience starts about an hour before the show. Nights tend to get chilly in Southern California so we enjoyed bottomless hot chocolate with our two complimentary cocktails. The desserts and cheeses were all quite good.

As for the show itself, well, it is AMAZING! You will be in awe at how water, fire, light and music weave together to celebrate the magic of Disney storytelling.

I know I’ve said it a million times, but my Glass Slipper Concierge team is the best of the best. We’re small enough to be able to have incredible experiences like this, but mighty enough to have a staggering amount of expertise!

As always, I’d love to assist in planning your Disneyland vacation! Simply email me at [email protected]. I spend the majority of my Disney days “home” on the East Coast, but every time I visit Disneyland I walk away in love all over again. Kind of like my team, Disneyland is small but mighty. It’s the original, built by Walt himself, and there’s no place like it!

As Premier Level Advisor with Glass Slipper Concierge, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner, I offer concierge travel planning for Walt Disney World® Resort, Disney Cruise LineDisneyland® Resort, Disney Aulani Hawaii, Universal, Sea World and to over 40 countries on 7 continents through Adventures by Disney® and National Geographic Expeditions.
