Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

I did a full review of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort on the last “magical” Monday, and I’m back today with details on the relatively new Ale & Compass Restaurant.

Yacht Club

Ale & Compass Restaurant features New England comfort food and classic seafood dishes in a coastal-inspired restaurant. The decor is lovely and charming, with a modern take on a cozy lighthouse. I loved it the minute I stepped inside.

I dined at Ale & Compass for lunch had had a wonderful meal. The Parker House rolls and spreads are a must for a starter.

I ordered the Lobster Roll and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house chips were a wonderful side. Since I was with a group, I got to try a bite of a few other things. Highlights were the Ale & Compass Salad, Bacon and Vermont Cheddar Burger and Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup. Everyone was pleased with their meal!

Ale & Compass serves three meals a day!

Breakfast
Start the day with hearty breakfast dishes—including one-of-a-kind homemade hash, omelets, cornbread waffles, salted caramel-apple French toast or a protein bowl. Or, enjoy lighter fare, like fruit smoothies or a seasonal fruit plate with yogurt and granola.

Lunch
Sail in for delicious lunch options, including Maine lobster rolls, fish & chips, sandwiches, signature burgers and salads.

Dinner
Choose from a variety of dinner entrees to delight nearly every taste! Indulge in sumptuous seafood, like sustainable catch of the day, New England seafood pot pie or a coastal clambake. Heartier selections include cabernet-braised short ribs, slow-roasted barbeque pork chop, 10-oz New York angus strip and pappardelle pasta.

Dessert
At lunch and dinner, satisfy your sweet tooth with decadent desserts, like lemon “curd” meringue pie, apple pie and 12-layer chocolate cake.

In addition to the restaurant, the Ale & Compass lounge is a MUST. I absolutely loved the cozy decor and we ended every night here on our trip. It was a much needed, wonderful addition to the Yacht Club Resort!

If you go…

  • Ale & Compass is one credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
  • Reservations are needed in advance, but not necessarily 6 months out. This is a great one to snap up for a last minute trip.
  • I always send my Yacht and Beach Club clients here, but wouldn’t trek across property to dine at Ale & Compass. It’s wonderful, but many places are.

Speaking of Yacht Club and Ale & Compass, I just booked four rooms here yesterday for clients on an August stay. The pricing was great with the summer discount and there is still plenty of availability for dining. I know August is HOT in Disney, but it’s nothing to fear with the amazing Stormalong Bay pool that is actually zoned as a water park! 17 Years Later

Seventeen years later and I’d do it all over again! Two houses, three babies, two cats, one dog, many jobs and countless memories later, the last seventeen years honestly feel like the flew by in the blink of an eye. Not a single day has passed that I didn’t thank God for bringing us together.… Read More
