My annabelle hydrangeas are going absolutely crazy. I cut them down to the ground each year and I swear it’s not enough. Don’t get me wrong…I’m glad it’s something beautiful taking over my yard rather than weeds for a change. National Wear Your Lilly Day was last Saturday. We spent our evening at a little pool party so I left the ankle brace at home and donned my Lilly sandals, swim suit and cover up. Let’s be honest though, as far as I’m concerned what day ISN’T wear your Lilly day?!?! The littles spent some of their saved up cash on these zombie strike nurf bows. I feel like I’m living in a constant state of having those fluorescent green zombie darts whizzing by my head. Here’s a visual to go with it…. I’m currently reading Life After Life. Either I’m not smart enough or my surroundings are not quiet enough for me to fully comprehend it… I’m not giving up though. He was awfully excited about his strawberry smoothie with a “real strawberry on the side”. Asked me to take a picture to forever memorialize the moment. Tell me I’m not the only one that just can’t get into Pokemon. These things have been lurking around our house for four years now. As much as I love to play games with the littles, this is one area in which I feign ignorance and defer to daddy. So, I shared by adoration for Kenny’s Key Lime Pies in a previous Musings post. Well, behold the “minis” version. There is good reason why bestie M is a bestie… I go to pick up forgotten shoes at her house on the way to VBS and she hands me one of these too. Speaking of bestie M, we’ve been enjoying some good times – with and without the littles – in her gorgeous backyard oasis this summer. I’m still obsessed with my bow bracelet from b.ivy shop. It’s the perfect color PINK and has the the right amount of glitz. I wear it more often than not :-) Speaking of obsessed, Dasani’s new sparkling water is soooooooo good. I love ‘em straight, but sometimes fancy them up with some fresh mint and cut limes. Yum!!!! It’s a wrap for our first summer of swim team. I am SO glad that the littles did it and loved it. They’ve already asked to be signed up for 2015!! Sister invited us for a super fun day of swimming and lunch at her pool. I seriously cannot get enough of our baby girl… and neither can John. We wrapped up another great summer of VBS earlier in the month… …and we crossed summer camp off the bucket list after spending a week at nature camp!! With that, I’ve GOT to go to the Publix. The fridge is empty and the pantry is bare… xoxo
Who’s Going?
At the urging of Honey back in February, I put all of my reservations aside and bought a ticket for Haven Conference 2014 here in Atlanta!! Now that it’s less than two weeks away and I’ve started to see a few familiar faces popping up on the Haven facebook and instagram pages, I couldn’t be… Read More

Stars and Stripes on the Porch

Granola Bars + Geocaching
One of the *many* activities on my littles’ summer bucket list was to head out on a geocaching adventure. So, we are headed down to a trail by the river tomorrow – in spite of the heat! Since General Mills sent us a backpack chocked full of protein-packed ingredients and the new Cheerios Protein Cinnamon… Read More

Sunday Supper {Gazpacho + Raspberry Bars}
After a long ankle injury induced hiatus from cooking, I’m back in the kitchen. I kicked things off with a lovely summer supper on the porch. Y’all know my kids eat pretty much anything, but this is one they both gobbled up! I loved that I had the whole thing ready before lunch and we… Read More
