Well, Whit’s teachers wanted to change it up and do something different this year. They enlisted my help and we had so much fun chalking up the pavement for the first of a year’s worth of sidewalk pictures!!
Since this one was for August, we wrote “Kindergarten 2014-2015” (with a couple of dragonflies since that is their class mascot) and had each student pose holding an apple. We’re planning a chalk pumpkin patch for this month and something spooky for October. I can’t wait to share them as we do them!!
While I’m on the subject of school, John has had two tests already. Third grade is no joke! He came home with a rocks and minerals study guide Tuesday to prepare for a test on Wednesday. oy. I’ve never been able to just read something and remember it, but actually had to study my whole life to do well so it’s something I’m used to doing. So, we made flashcards, acrostics, and silly little rhymes to learn the materials. He left home fully prepared and said he thought studying was fun so I’m really hoping he did well :-) Oh, and if you need to know anything about rocks and minerals, I’m your gal now. (Kind of how I’m also your go to if you need someone to handle rabid animals…LOL)
xoxo
