John’s favorite teacher, who is also just an overall amazing human, has this banner in her classroom at school. I’ve wanted it since the first time I saw it, and finally broke down and got it. It makes me happy every time I see it, and I love hearing kids come over and read it out loud as they race downstairs.
The sentiment couldn’t be more accurate. All y’all ARE welcome but you GOTTA act right. If you don’t I’ll ask my boys to ask you to leave. If they don’t, you’ll have to deal with me. (Spoiler alert: the boys always handle it. MUCH less mortifying.)
I stuck it up there with painters tape to see how I liked it. I liked it. And, months later it’s still up there with the painters tape so I suppose I’ll leave it for as long as it lasts before putting holes in the door.
