For 8 years he played with grit and pride and respect and dedication. It isn’t the wins or losses that will stay with us, but the lifelong friends made along the way.
His last time on the field was no different. We lost by one in the Final Four against another amazing, elite team. It has been a true joy and complete pleasure to cheer on #3 from the sidelines all these years.
His team mates were brothers and all of his crew showed up to cheer them on. After the loss, they reconvened for “bros night” at our house. I heard it was a great, therapeutic, much needed evening. :-)
And, earlier this week, we officially wrapped up his lacrosse career at the banquet with the Hard Work & Hustle Award.
