January Front Porch, House Lists and the Ring Doorbell

January 10, 2020January 10, 2020

I looked for a long time for the perfect thing for our front door in those winter weeks between Christmas and Valentine’s Day before finding this Have Mercy cross last year. I love it so much that I will use it again for Easter in the Spring. Mother helped me plant the rosemary in my garden pots… Read More

It’s Turkey Time Door Decor

November 1, 2019

Just like that it’s out with October and in with November! Where did 2019 go?! This burlap turkey was a gift from bestie S a few years ago.  Along with a Coton Colors attachment for my Happy Everything plate, this is the sum of my Thanksgiving decor.  Turkey Door Hangers *Amazon Affiliate* I’ve already packed… Read More

Are You Ready For Some Football?

September 3, 2019September 4, 2019

If you mean in the form of cute door decor, then YES! I’m ready! :-) Just as soon as we were home from Palmetto Bluff I swapped out the school bus and apple of August for the football and GT of September. The football is from Bronwyn Hanahan Art. I tied Georgia Tech shakers and… Read More

Back to School Door Decor

August 1, 2019August 1, 2019

Happy August, y’all! I’m sure you know what that means for us in Atlanta: Back to School time. I’ve traded out my summer sea creatures for school busses and apples. No matter how old the boys get, the big yellow bus is the embodiment of school to me. I know many out there that think… Read More

Stars & Stripes

June 26, 2019June 27, 2019

For me, patriotic decor is right up there with Halloween and Christmas! I love driving through the neighborhood this time of year to see so many flags flying high. I usually put mine up from mid-June to mid-July, only because I have so many other door hangers I love to rotate through before and after.… Read More

Cheerful Summer Door Hangers

June 5, 2019June 6, 2019

I’ve got my fun, fishy Bronwyn Hanahan door hanger back out front to welcome summer.  Why fix something that’s not broken!? If you remember back to my May door, my shrub on the left had a bunch of completely dead patches. I cut those out and have all of my fingers and toes crossed that the… Read More

May Flowers

May 1, 2019May 1, 2019

April showers bring May flowers, as the old saying goes. And that certainly holds true on my front porch! (If anyone knows what I can do the help out my poor shrub on the left, I’m all ears. I have no idea what happened to it.) The flower basket is by Bronwyn Hanahan Art.  I’ve had… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
