Cheerful Summer Door Hangers

June 5, 2019June 6, 2019

I’ve got my fun, fishy Bronwyn Hanahan door hanger back out front to welcome summer.  Why fix something that’s not broken!? If you remember back to my May door, my shrub on the left had a bunch of completely dead patches. I cut those out and have all of my fingers and toes crossed that the… Read More

May Flowers

May 1, 2019May 1, 2019

April showers bring May flowers, as the old saying goes. And that certainly holds true on my front porch! (If anyone knows what I can do the help out my poor shrub on the left, I’m all ears. I have no idea what happened to it.) The flower basket is by Bronwyn Hanahan Art.  I’ve had… Read More

Easter Door

April 16, 2019April 17, 2019

It’s Spring in the South!! I’m using my Have Mercy again, but this time I attached it to a boxwood wreath before hanging it on the door. (Wreath from Target, approximately 24″.) You can read more about my cross, and the mini matching version inside, in THIS POST. Everything is greening up so nicely, and… Read More

Shamrock Welcome

March 7, 2019March 7, 2019

I’ve had my shamrock door hangers out for a couple of weeks already. It’s been freezing cold here but something about St. Patrick’s Day means the beginning of Spring is here for me. Bronwyn Hanahan St. Patrick’s Day Door Hanger This Lucky shamrock from  Bronwyn Hanahan is one of my very favorites.  It just looks so fun… Read More

Have Mercy Crosses

January 7, 2019January 9, 2019

I’ve looked for a long time for the perfect thing for our front door in those winter weeks between Christmas and Valentine’s Day. When I saw gorgeous crosses gracing the doors of two of my most big-hearted friends, I was in love. I knew then and there that I wanted a Have Mercy for my… Read More

Hey Turkey Door Decor

November 6, 2018November 5, 2018

It’s out with the ghost and in with the turkey! This burlap turkey was a gift from bestie S a few years ago.  Along with a Coton Colors attachment for my Happy Everything plate, this is the sum of my Thanksgiving decor.  I will drag out all of the Christmas bins in another week or… Read More

Fall Football Door Hangers

September 13, 2018September 14, 2018

My front porch has been a bit dismantled during the bathroom renovations, as it was the main entrance used by everyone for the last five weeks!  I just got everything put back together and fluffed up a bit this morning and it feels so good to be reclaiming our home. I’m using my Bronwyn Hanahan football… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
