And Then There was One… Back to School for the Wildcat!

August 6, 2024August 6, 2024

In what seems like a mere blink of the eye, I was sending off just one to school. My Wildcat is 10th grade bound! As he’s done for the last thirteen years, Honey was up bright and early to make our traditional first day pancake breakfast send off. I used a variety of my Happy… Read More

Raider Ball 2024

July 31, 2024July 31, 2024

As my last act of service to the Raiders, I was excited to decorate for their annual Raider Ball gala event and fundraiser to support the football team. Here’s a pic with the event dream team! Our husbands all showed up the morning of the event to do our bidding and play assistants. They untangled… Read More

Celebrating the Class of 2024 {All the Invitations}

July 24, 2024July 26, 2024

Way back before this blog and kids and my travel advisor role, Sister and I ran a part time stationery business – Dixie Belles! Many of our friends that knew us then still call us “the Dixie Belles”. Dixie Belle was Sister’s cat’s name at the time and our logo was pink with a cat.… Read More

Celebrating the Class of 2024 {Graduation Day Dinner}

July 17, 2024July 13, 2024

Well, I do believe this is the last of a year long celebration of the class of 2024. Each graduate was limited in the number of guests they could bring to the ceremony, so we gathered with the extended family to celebrate John later that evening! It was my dream to have this dinner with… Read More

Celebrating the Class of 2024 {Graduation Day Breakfast}

July 12, 2024July 12, 2024

Gosh y’all, graduation day was a month and a half ago and I could shed all the tears again just starting to recap our day here on the blog. I could barely sleep a wink the night before, so I was up bright and early to prepare John’s (current) favorite breakfast. We had Mother and… Read More

Fab Finds {Our New Cornhole Set!}

June 28, 2024June 30, 2024

Cornhole is one of our favorite yard games and something the boys drag out nearly every time they have friends over. Honey built our set about 15 years ago and it served us well. But, it was made of wood, had been left out in the rain a few times and had definitely seen better… Read More

Once I decided to have a party, the vision came to Once I decided to have a party, the vision came together quickly. I fell in love with a bottle of Chloe wine with a black bow standing in the aisle at Publix in Savannah… and the rest was history.

While pink would have been the obvious choice for me, I loved the idea of something more classic. Black and white, bows and a few (okay, a lot) monograms woven in.

I wanted everything to feel pulled together but still warm. The kind of space where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re somewhere special.

Every ribbon, every layer, every little detail… it all added up to exactly the feeling I was hoping for

Y’all come on in… 🖤🤍

I have so much to share from my 50th birthday part I have so much to share from my 50th birthday party. It was such a magical evening, and there are so many details to share and moments to convey that I’ve had to really think about where to even begin. So we’ll start here.

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not to even have a party. Party planning is no small undertaking. But then again… I celebrate everything. And I knew I would be sad if this milestone year came and went without marking it in a meaningful way.

With a little encouragement from Honey, it was a go.

And once I decided, I knew exactly what I wanted. A celebration at our home, filled with the people who have shaped my life. I wanted the whole night to feel like me. And I wanted my guests to feel like they belong the moment they walk in. A night where conversations linger, and where you can look around and think… this is everything.

I’ll be sharing it all, but the beginning felt like the only place to start. 🖤🤍
