Back when we were doing the graduation party circuit, the kids and adults alike started to dream up the idea of a “reunion” when they were all home for the holidays. John’s friend group is extremely close and Honey and I were thrilled to make it happen. The best part of all? The parents were invited to the festivities!
I shared a fun video recap of the night on my Instagram. You can watch that here:

The kids came up with the guest list and everyone brought food and drinks! We just fluffed up the house for the special night! There are twenty-six kids and all their parents so we had a big crowd. To manage space, I used the kitchen island for savory items and dining room table for sweets. Honey smoked a ham and I made a potato casserole.
I made a big batch of sangria and set that along with water on the beverage bar.
On the porch we had seating, a huge cooler of ice and another beverage station.
I also did a tree with an ornament for each one of the kids. If they can locate their tassels, those are really cute inside. I’ll share more after the holidays!
In the courtyard we set up their usual photo backdrop. But made it Christmas! The igloo is always a HUGE hit and this party was no different. In the cabana we had two big heaters and football on. We also had football tuned in on the den and living room TVs and ping pong in the basement.

It sounds as if every one of them had a great first semester at college. I love that so many of them have been able to visit others at their schools already (usually for gameday weekends). Wishing each and every one of these special young adults the best. I’m hoping we see a lot more of them over the summer and that they invite us again for Christmas 2025. :-)

I love all your parties and always love the decor. How far in advance can you do these beautiful balloon arches? Do you have the links in one of your posts? Are those nutcrackers inflatables? Merry Christmas
Hi Tania, I haven’t done a tutorial on the balloons because there are so many on youtube!! The Nutcrackers are inflatable from Fun Boy. I love them!
